Bank of Ghana announces daily exchange rates for September 1

The Bank of Ghana has published its daily exchange rates for Tuesday, September 1, 2026, providing the latest buying and selling rates for major international currencies against the Ghana cedi.

The US dollar is trading at a buying rate of GH¢11.2444 and a selling rate of GH¢11.2556.

The British pound is quoted at a buying rate of GH¢15.2350, while the selling rate stands at GH¢15.2514.

The euro, meanwhile, has a buying rate of GH¢13.0616 and a selling rate of GH¢13.0745.

The Bank of Ghana explained that the rates represent the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The published rates provide an indication of prevailing foreign exchange conditions and serve as a reference for transactions within the banking sector.
