The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, joined stakeholders at the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) for the official launch of Central Securities Depository (CSD) investorConnect.

The new digital platform is aimed at improving investors’ access to information about their securities and transactions, marking another step in the digital transformation of Ghana’s capital market.

Through investorConnect, investors can conveniently access their securities holdings and transaction history digitally, with identity verification linked to the Ghana Card.

The platform is expected to improve transparency, convenience and access while giving investors the ability to view and verify their ownership of securities.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Asiama stressed the importance of investor confidence, noting that the ability to verify ownership is central to confidence in the market.
He, however, emphasised that digital access must be accompanied by financial literacy and strong investor protection.

According to the Governor, investorConnect should serve as a foundation for developing the next generation of investor services and making Ghana’s capital market more accessible and inclusive.
The Bank of Ghana congratulated the CSD, its Board, Management and staff on the launch and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of a transparent, inclusive and vibrant capital market in Ghana.
