Bank of Ghana publishes Friday, August 28 exchange rates

The Bank of Ghana has published its daily interbank exchange rates for Friday, August 28, 2026, showing the Ghana cedi trading at different levels against the major international currencies.

According to the rates, the US dollar is being bought at GH¢11.2129 and sold at GH¢11.2241.

The British pound sterling is quoted at a buying rate of GH¢15.2383 and a selling rate of GH¢15.2547.

The euro, meanwhile, has a buying rate of GH¢13.0644 and a selling rate of GH¢13.0762.

The Bank of Ghana explained that the figures represent the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

The rates provide a reference point for foreign exchange transactions and reflect the prevailing conditions in Ghana’s interbank foreign exchange market.
