The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has published its daily exchange rates for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, providing the latest buying and selling rates for major international currencies against the Ghanaian cedi.

The rates are based on the average interbank exchange rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Monday, September 7, 2026.

According to the Bank of Ghana:

  • US Dollar (USD): Buying at GH¢11.3893 and selling at GH¢11.4007
  • British Pound Sterling (GBP): Buying at GH¢15.4291 and selling at GH¢15.4445
  • Euro (EUR): Buying at GH¢13.2461 and selling at GH¢13.2582

The figures provide an indication of the prevailing interbank market rates and serve as an important reference for financial institutions, businesses and individuals involved in foreign exchange transactions.

The difference between the buying and selling rates represents the spread applied between the two sides of a foreign exchange transaction.

With the cedi continuing to play a critical role in Ghana’s domestic economy and international trade, daily exchange-rate movements remain closely watched by importers, exporters, businesses, travellers and consumers.

The Bank of Ghana has urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate exchange-rate information and financial updates.
