Burna Boy To Headline Halftime Show At First NFL Game In Paris

Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy has been announced as the headline performer for the halftime show at the first regular-season NFL game to be played in Paris.

The Grammy-winning artiste will perform at the Stade de France on October 25, 2026, when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints. The announcement was made by the National Football League.

The performance will mark another major appearance at the Paris stadium for Burna Boy. In April 2025, he became the first African artiste to headline a solo concert at the Stade de France.

Burna Boy has increasingly performed at major international events, taking Afrobeats to audiences outside Africa. His upcoming NFL appearance will place African music at the centre of one of the world’s biggest sporting platforms.

According to the NFL, the Paris game forms part of its 2026 international programme, which includes seven halftime shows across four continents.

The choice of Burna Boy also reflects the growing relationship between global sporting events and African music, with major artistes increasingly being featured as part of international entertainment programmes.
