Her Excellency Myriam Montrat, High Commissioner of Canada to Ghana, together with Mr. Robert Lidstone of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), has paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Canadian delegation and the Ghana Police Service to engage on matters of mutual interest and explore avenues for strengthening cooperation between Ghana and Canada in law enforcement and border security.

The participation of the Canada Border Services Agency official also underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing cross-border security concerns and strengthening institutional cooperation.

The engagement forms part of broader international law-enforcement interactions involving the Ghana Police Service, which has in recent months engaged with foreign law-enforcement institutions on issues including professional exchange, intelligence cooperation, technology, training and transnational crime. The courtesy call is expected to further strengthen the relationship between Ghanaian and Canadian security institutions and create opportunities for continued dialogue and cooperation in areas of shared security interest.
