Court continues case management conference in NPA-UPPF corruption case

The High Court has continued the Case Management Conference (CMC) in the ongoing corruption case involving former Public Sector Procurement Authority (PSPA) Chief Executive, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, and seven others.

During the proceedings today, the court concluded disclosures relating to the second witness as part of the case management process.

The Republic is expected to call a total of eight witnesses in the case.

The CMC is intended to help the court and the parties streamline the issues in dispute, disclosures and other matters ahead of the substantive hearing.

Following today’s proceedings, the court adjourned the case to September 29, September 30, October 1, and October 6, 2026, for the continuation of the Case Management Conference.

The case, The Republic v. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid & 7 Others, forms part of the ongoing legal proceedings arising from alleged corruption-related matters involving the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund (UPPF).
