DACF To Factor Poverty Into Common Fund Formula To Support Vulnerable Children Yamson Announced

Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund DACF Michael Harry Yamson has announced plans to factor poverty levels into the Common Fund allocation formula to channel more resources to vulnerable children.

Speaking of financing for child protection, Mr. Yamson said the move is aimed at ensuring districts with higher poverty incidence receive enhanced support to address the needs of children at risk.

In his view, the link between child vulnerability and poverty requires a more intentional disbursement of the Common Fund to promote equity and social protection.
