Eugene Boakye Antwi vows to restore discipline and accountability in NPP

New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary aspirant, Eugene Boakye Antwi, says his decision to contest the position is driven by a commitment to restore discipline, accountability and honesty within the party.

Speaking after filing his nomination on Friday, August 28, Mr Boakye Antwi said he would work closely with party executives and the leadership to strengthen the NPP and position it for victory in the next general election.

He said his engagements with party members across the country had reinforced his belief that he could help transform the party and contribute to the presidential ambitions of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, party members and executives repeatedly expressed confidence in his ability to restore discipline and accountability within the NPP.

“Party people and executives kept reminding me when I visited them in their communities that they see me as a man who will come and instil discipline in our party, ensure accountability, and be honest with party executives and the leadership of the party,” he said.

Mr Boakye Antwi is among several contenders seeking to lead the NPP’s administrative affairs as the party prepares for its next round of internal elections.

His bid comes as the party intensifies efforts to reorganise its structures, rebuild confidence among its members and position itself for the 2028 general election.
