From Content Creation To Real Estate: Ghanaian Influencers Turning Online Fame Into Property

Story By: Zainab Ali

Content creation is increasingly becoming more than just a social-media pastime for some Ghanaian influencers, with several personalities publicly showcasing properties they have built or acquired through their digital careers.

A recent report has highlighted Ghanaian influencers including Wode Maya and Dulcie Boateng among personalities who have publicly revealed their investments in property and real estate.

The stories offer a glimpse into how income generated from platforms such as YouTube, Snapchat and other digital businesses is being channelled into long-term assets.

One of the cases highlighted involves a young Ghanaian influencer who reportedly completed a house at the age of 22, while another personality has been associated with a large property built for his mother.

The growing visibility of such investments is also changing conversations around social-media careers in Ghana. While content creation was once largely viewed as entertainment, successful creators are increasingly presenting it as a business capable of generating income that can be invested beyond the digital space.

For Ghana’s growing community of young creators, the trend is putting greater attention on monetisation, entrepreneurship and what happens after the viral moment.
