President John Dramani Mahama has declared that “Ghana is open for business”, using a high-profile appearance in New York to highlight the country’s renewed investment ambitions and commitment to attracting global capital.

President Mahama made the declaration after ringing the closing bell at the Nasdaq Stock Market, marking a symbolic moment for Ghana on one of the world’s most prominent financial platforms.

The occasion also saw President Mahama featured on the Nasdaq billboard in Times Square, displaying the bold message: “Ghana Is Open for Business.”

The high-profile showcase preceded the U.S.–Ghana Presidential Roundtable, where Ghana presented its investment opportunities and engaged with business leaders and potential investors.

The engagements form part of Ghana’s broader efforts to strengthen economic partnerships, attract investment and position the country as a destination for opportunity, innovation and sustainable growth.

Through the engagements in New York, the Mahama administration is seeking to project Ghana as a country ready to deepen international partnerships and create opportunities for investors while supporting national economic development.
