IGP visits Savannah Region following Gindabour incident

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, accompanied by members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), has visited the Savannah Region following the tragic incident at Gindabour in the Sawla District.

The visit was aimed at assessing the situation on the ground and gaining a firsthand understanding of developments following the incident.

During the visit, the IGP and the POMAB engaged with police officers in the area to assess their welfare, operational needs and security concerns.

The Police leadership also met with community stakeholders as part of efforts to strengthen engagement and promote cooperation between the Police Service and residents.

The visit forms part of the Police Administration’s response to the incident and its broader efforts to maintain public safety, support personnel and strengthen community-police relations in the Savannah Region.
