The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor has sworn in a reconstituted nine-member Board of Directors for BOST Energies Limited, charging them to uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and accountability.
The Minister administered the oath of office on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday, October 29, 2026.
The reconstituted Board is chaired by Moses Bukari Mabengba, a former Northern Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Saboba. The Managing Director of BOST Energies, Afetsi Awoonor serves as a member.
Other members are:
- Seidu Alhassan Alfajor
- Atchere Asuah Kwesi, Esq.
- Dr Samuel Ayeh
- Albert Anarwat
- Otoo Allister
- Dr Ernest Norgbey
- Sheriff Abudu
Addressing the Board, Dr Jinapor said BOST Energies has a strategic responsibility to ensure reliable fuel supplies, manage the country’s strategic petroleum stocks and support the expansion and modernization of critical energy infrastructure.
He charged the members to “uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, financial discipline, transparency, accountability, and integrity, while strengthening operational efficiency and ensuring the company’s long-term sustainability.”
The Minister urged the Board to discharge their duties professionally and place the national interest at the centre of all decisions.
The inauguration comes at a time when BOST Energies, formerly Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) before its rebranding in August 2025, is showing strong financial turnaround.
According to figures presented at its Annual General Meeting this year, the wholly state-owned company nearly tripled its revenue to GH¢3.81 billion in 2025, with profit after tax rising 72% to GH¢683.96 million.
The company also paid a GH¢34.2 million dividend to government, its first in history, which Dr Jinapor described as a clear demonstration that State-Owned Enterprises can create value for Ghanaians under the government’s reset agenda.
