The Principal of Kumasi Technical Institute, Andrews Ohene Boateng, says the school faces a furniture deficit of more than 3,000 desks, leaving its over 5,500 students to rely on fewer than 1,000 desks.
He said the shortage has forced students to stand during lessons, while others have abandoned classes out of frustration.
Speaking on the state of the school, Mr Ohene Boateng said the situation is affecting teaching and learning, discipline and morale, especially for first year students who are struggling to settle in.
He urged alumni, philanthropists and corporate bodies to step in and assist the institute..
