Less Than Perfect Day
Story by: Regina Bless
Less Than Perfect Day, observed on October 1, is a reminder that nobody is perfect and that making mistakes is a natural part of being human.
In a world where people often feel pressured to have perfect careers, relationships, appearances and lifestyles, this day encourages us to accept our imperfections rather than constantly comparing ourselves with others.
Being less than perfect does not mean failing. Mistakes can teach valuable lessons, help us grow and give us the opportunity to improve. Sometimes, the pressure to get everything right can prevent people from trying new things or taking risks.
The day also encourages us to be more understanding of other people. Everyone has struggles and shortcomings that may not be visible on the surface, so showing patience and kindness can make a difference.
Less Than Perfect Day reminds us that progress is more important than perfection. It is okay to make mistakes, learn from them and keep moving forward.
So today, give yourself permission to be human. You don’t have to be perfect to be worthy, successful or enough.
