President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to its non-alignment policy, declaring that the country remains “friends to all and enemies to none” as it seeks to attract investors from across the world.

Speaking at the 2026 Financial Times Africa Summit in the United Kingdom, President Mahama stressed the importance of maintaining friendly relations with countries worldwide while creating an enabling environment for international investment.

He noted that Africa’s economic future should be driven by strategic investment partnerships that deliver fair and sustainable returns to all parties involved, including host countries.

The President’s remarks underscore Ghana’s position on international cooperation and its commitment to engaging global partners without limiting investment opportunities to particular countries or geopolitical blocs.

He also emphasised the need for investment arrangements that support the economic interests of African nations while ensuring that investors benefit from their commitments.

President Mahama’s comments come as Ghana continues to pursue partnerships aimed at attracting foreign capital, supporting economic growth and creating opportunities for development.

His reaffirmation of the non-alignment policy signals Ghana’s intention to maintain open relations with the international community while prioritising mutually beneficial economic partnerships.
