President John Dramani Mahama has welcomed the Executive Committee of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship to Ghana ahead of the 10th Triennial World Congress.

The delegation, led by the Fellowship’s Global Chairman, Rev. Dominic Yeo, and the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, paid a courtesy call on the President to brief him on preparations for the international religious gathering.

During the meeting, the delegation formally invited President Mahama to attend the congress as the Special Guest of Honour.

President Mahama commended the leadership of the Assemblies of God for its growth, development and transformation over the years. He also acknowledged the Church’s contribution to religious life and its role in society.

The upcoming congress is expected to bring together church leaders and representatives from different parts of the world, providing an opportunity for fellowship, spiritual renewal and discussions on the future of the Assemblies of God movement.

Ghana’s hosting of the gathering is expected to strengthen the country’s profile as a destination for major international religious events while providing a platform for global Christian leaders to engage and share experiences.
