Mr Eazi And Moliy Bring Ghana-Nigeria Connection To Life With New Single ‘Comfort’

Story By: Zainab Ali

Ghanaian-American singer Moliy has joined forces with Nigerian Afropop star Mr Eazi for a fresh collaboration titled “Comfort,” released today, October 2, 2026.

The new song brings together two artists whose careers have strong connections to Ghana and the wider African music scene. Mr Eazi, who developed much of his signature Banku Music sound while in Ghana, delivers his laid-back vocal style, while Moliy adds her contemporary Afropop energy to the record.

Produced by Nigerian hitmaker Ragee, “Comfort” blends elements of Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop and R&B. The accompanying music video also gives the release a distinctive visual identity, drawing inspiration from 1980s aesthetics, including retro graphics, colourful studio settings and oversized mobile phones.

For Moliy, the collaboration comes at an interesting point in her career. Her music has continued to attract international attention, particularly following the success of “Shake It To The Max (FLY)”, which helped introduce her sound to a much wider audience. NME previously highlighted her growing international profile and her Billboard Hot 100 appearance as part of that breakthrough.

Mr Eazi, meanwhile, has maintained a strong relationship with Ghana throughout his career. His earlier collaborations with Ghanaian acts including Efya, Sarkodie, King Promise and Pappy Kojo helped establish his distinctive fusion of Ghanaian musical influences with Nigerian sounds.
