The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the successful election of its new national executives.
In a statement dated October 5, 2026, and signed by NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party extended its congratulations to the NPP following the election of its new leadership over the weekend.
The NDC said it remains committed to promoting peaceful political engagement and democratic values while emphasising the collective responsibility of political actors to protect and deepen Ghana’s democratic gains.
The party further expressed hope that the new NPP executives would work towards ensuring that the national interest takes precedence over the interests of the two major political parties.
According to the NDC, such cooperation would contribute to the broader objective of building a stronger Ghana and advancing the country’s development.
The statement also called for continued efforts by political actors to place Ghana’s interests at the centre of political engagement, regardless of party affiliation.
