Parliamentary Energy Committee engages Sentuo Group on Refinery Operations

The Parliamentary Energy Committee has paid a working visit to the management of Sentuo Group as part of efforts to assess the operations, staffing levels and challenges confronting the Sentuo Oil Refinery.

The visit provided an opportunity for members of the Committee to engage management on the refinery’s current operations and gain a better understanding of the challenges affecting its activities.

Discussions also focused on the company’s workforce and operational needs, as well as measures that could support the refinery’s continued growth and contribution to Ghana’s energy sector.

A key part of the engagement centred on how Parliament could support the Group through appropriate legislation and policy interventions.

The working visit forms part of the Committee’s oversight responsibilities and its broader engagement with stakeholders in the energy sector to better understand industry challenges and identify areas where legislative action could help strengthen Ghana’s petroleum refining capacity.
