Story by: Regina Bless
Preparations for Ghana’s 2027 Budget are gathering momentum as the Ministry of Finance continues consultations with government ministries and institutions ahead of the budget presentation expected in November.
Last week, the Ministry held budget hearings with several ministries and public institutions as part of the process of reviewing their programmes, priorities and proposed expenditure for the 2027 fiscal year.
The hearings provide an opportunity for government institutions to present their plans and priorities while engaging with the Ministry of Finance on resource allocation and fiscal planning.
The Ministry of Finance has expressed appreciation to all Ministers of State and their respective teams for their time, participation and valuable contributions throughout the budget hearing process.
The ongoing preparations are expected to inform the government’s priorities and spending decisions as it works towards the presentation of the 2027 Budget to Parliament in November.
