Selma Blair Maintains 90s Con Appearance After Arrest Over Alleged In-Flight Assault

Story By: Zainab Ali

American actress Selma Blair is still scheduled to attend the 90s Con fan convention in Hartford, Connecticut, despite being arrested following an alleged confrontation aboard a Delta Air Lines flight.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the event organisers confirmed on October 12 that Blair would attend the convention as planned. The event is scheduled to run from October 16 to 18, bringing together stars associated with popular entertainment from the 1990s.

Blair, widely recognised for her roles in Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde, is expected to meet fans through autograph sessions, selfies and professional photographs.

Her planned appearance comes after an incident on October 11 that resulted in her arrest. Authorities alleged that she assaulted flight attendants and other individuals during and after the flight. Her representatives described the incident as involving a medical emergency.

Blair appeared in court on October 12 and pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault. She was released on bond, and the case remains subject to the legal process.

The organisers’ decision to maintain her convention appearance has drawn attention because of the timing of the incident and the actress’s continued commitment to the event.

For fans, the development means Blair’s scheduled opportunity to meet attendees remains in place, although the legal proceedings surrounding the incident are ongoing.

The allegations have not been proven in court, and Blair’s plea must be distinguished from a finding of guilt.
