Shatta Wale Warns Authorities Against Another Arrest, Questions Selective Justice

Story By: Zainab Ali

Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has criticised what he describes as selective justice in Ghana, warning authorities against attempting to arrest him for a third time.

In a TikTok Live session , the musician revisited his previous encounters with law enforcement and questioned why young people accused of fraud face arrest while allegations of wrongdoing involving public officials may not receive the same level of scrutiny.

Shatta Wale referred to his previous arrest over allegations of causing fear and panic and his subsequent detention by the Economic and Organised Crime Office in connection with investigations into his yellow Lamborghini. He also raised concerns about reported allegations surrounding visa arrangements for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The musician insisted that his experiences should prompt a wider conversation about accountability and fairness in the justice system. His remarks have brought renewed attention to the relationship between celebrity activism, public institutions and the demand for equal treatment under the law

The allegations he referenced should not be treated as proof of wrongdoing by any individual. His comments represent his position on the matter.
