Speaker Of Parliament Vows To Name And Shame Anyone Blocking Anti LGBTQI Bill

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has vowed to publicly name and shame any individual who obstructs the passage of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025, known as the Anti LGBTQI Bill.

Addressing Parliament at the resumption of sitting, the speaker of parliament said he remains committed to ensuring the House revisits the legislation and completes the processes required for its passage.

He affirm his readiness to work within the applicable parliamentary rules to facilitate a motion seeking to rescind the House’s earlier decision at the third reading stage and to allow a second consideration of the bill.
