Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star Stonebwoy has announced a new venue for the 11th edition of his annual BHIM Festival, with the highly anticipated event scheduled for December 24, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra
There was a change from the Accra Sports Stadium, which hosted the festival’s 10th-anniversary celebration in 2025. The move sets the stage for another major Christmas-season entertainment event in Ghana.
The festival has grown into an important fixture on Ghana’s music calendar, bringing together fans of reggae, dancehall, Afrobeats, Highlife and other popular genres. Previous editions have featured international performers such as Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, Busy Signal, Davido, Tekno, Spice and Focalistic.
Stonebwoy’s ability to attract audiences from different musical backgrounds has helped establish BHIM Festival as a platform for showcasing Ghanaian music alongside international acts. The event also provides opportunities for emerging performers to gain exposure, particularly when they share a stage with established musicians.
The 2026 edition follows the festival’s first international outing, held at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on August 15, 2026. That international expansion reflects the potential for Ghanaian music events to reach audiences beyond the country’s borders.
Organisers are expected to announce additional performers in the coming weeks, leaving fans waiting to discover which musicians will join Stonebwoy for the Christmas Eve celebration.
Beyond the performances, the festival is expected to attract music lovers to Accra during the festive season, creating potential business for transport operators, food vendors, hospitality providers and other service businesses.
With December traditionally bringing increased entertainment activity to Ghana, the announcement is likely to generate anticipation among fans planning their festive-season outings
