Story By: Zainab Ali

Ghanaian dancehall and Afrobeats musician Stonebwoy is extending his musical reach beyond Ghana after joining the soundtrack for an upcoming Hollywood action comedy titled Wrong Toes.

The development, reported on October 28, 2026, places the award-winning Ghanaian musician alongside American recording artiste Mashanda Faust on an international music project. The collaboration offers another opportunity for Ghanaian music to reach audiences beyond the African continent.

Stonebwoy has built a reputation for combining dancehall, reggae and Afrobeats influences, earning him a following across several markets. His participation in an international film soundtrack could introduce his music to viewers who may not have previously encountered his work.

Collaborations between African musicians and international film productions also create opportunities to showcase African musical styles to wider audiences. Such projects can help artistes explore new markets while strengthening the visibility of Ghana’s creative industry.

However, the long-term impact of the collaboration will depend on the film’s reach, the soundtrack’s distribution and the response from international listeners. Further details about the release and the artiste’s contribution should be confirmed as more information becomes available.

Stonebwoy’s latest move is another development worth watching as Ghanaian musicians continue to pursue opportunities in international entertainment.
