Token Given To SA Returnees Deserves Praise Not Criticism

The token package presented to Ghanaian returnees from South Africa has been described as a commendable gesture that should be appreciated rather than degraded.

According to observers, government’s effort to welcome and support the returnees should be seen as a sign of care and responsibility, not an avenue for political attacks.

Speaking on the issue, a commentator said that even if the token is small, the intention behind it is what matters most and should be encouraged.

He noted that returnees who faced difficult conditions abroad need support and encouragement to reintegrate into society.

He therefore urged the public to commend government for the initiative and to support further measures aimed at improving the welfare of returnees.
