Youth against corruption initiative urges young Ghanaians to take action

What does corruption have to do with your future? Everything.

The Youth Against Corruption (YAC) Initiative of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) is encouraging young Ghanaians to take an active role in understanding, challenging and preventing corruption.

The initiative provides a platform where young people can learn, engage, speak up and take action in the fight against corruption, while promoting integrity and accountability in society.

Through the YAC platform, young people can access anti-corruption learning resources, integrity tools, programmes and activities, as well as opportunities to engage in initiatives aimed at building a more transparent and accountable Ghana.

The initiative also seeks to create a growing community of young people who recognise that corruption is not simply a political or institutional issue, but one that can directly affect their education, employment opportunities, public services, economic prospects and the future of the country.

Young people are therefore being encouraged not to simply complain about corruption, but to understand how it works, challenge practices that enable it and contribute to preventing it.

The message is clear: the fight against corruption requires the participation of the next generation.

By equipping young people with knowledge, tools and opportunities to promote integrity, the Youth Against Corruption Initiative hopes to inspire a generation committed to building a fairer, more accountable and prosperous Ghana.
